“Your’e Not Immune” is an animation highlighting the issue of stigma relating to mental health. Fresh CAMHS young participation group at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital worked with Twin Vision during the summer to produce a powerful piece about their experiences of mental health difficulties and the stigma surround this. The project saw the young people choose an animation style and also the correct language and narrative to use which would be most effective and appropriate. The young people then with the support of the Twin Vision team began to devise a storyboard and then create assets for the animation which involved hundreds of hand drawn images. Also hand painted backgrounds were created by the young people in keeping with the aesthetic which supported the strong message being presented. The Premiere of the film took place at TATE Liverpool and the project was funded by Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity.
